CAPE CANAVERAL — Jeff Peacock brings it all together for the United Launch Alliance team set to send up an Atlas V rocket tonight with an advanced Navy communications satellite.

An inventory planning and control specialist, Peacock made certain that the 1,200 components that comprise the 206-foot-tall Atlas V arrived in time to stack the rocket and ready it for a 5:46 p.m. liftoff from Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

And even though he’s been involved in 112 Atlas missions since the late 1980s, Peacock said he “still gets goosebumps” when one of the rockets rolls out for launch.
